The Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre (Hamilton Buddhist Vihara) will be celebrating Vesak on 9th May to commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment and Passing away of the Lord Buddha. This is undoubtedly the most sacred day of the Buddhist calendar.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the Vihara will be joining with other Sri Lankan temples around the country with the ONLINE Vesak Program that will be coordinated by the NZ-Sri Lanka Organisation – Wellington.
