Hamilton Vihara (Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre) will be celebrating Vesak on Saturday 10th May 2025, to commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment and Passing away of the Lord Buddha.

This is undoubtedly the most sacred day of the Buddhist calendar. So the Vihara has organized Dhamma talks, Meditation sessions, Puja, lantern festival, and Bhakthi Gee to honor the Lord Buddha and help us to practice and follow his teachings.

Program:

Saturday 10th May - from 08 am: – 4 pm:

Eight precepts day (Sil Program). Includes Meditation, Dhamma talks, Dhamma discussions, and Vandana. The program will be conducted in Sinhala and English Languages by venerable monks and invited guest teachers.

5:30 pm: Buddha Vandana, and Bodhi Puja

6:30 pm: Bhakthi Gee

7:00 pm: Lantern festival (Colourful large Vesak Lantern Display, and Refreshments)
