The Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre (Hamilton Buddhist Vihara) will be celebrating Vesak on 9th May to commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment and Passing away of the Lord Buddha. This is undoubtedly the most sacred day of the Buddhist calendar.
The prize giving ceremony of Sunday Dhamma and Language school of Hamilton Buddhist Vihara held on Sunday 15th March 2020.

To commemorate the establishment of the new Hamilton Sanghawasaya, a blessing ceremony will take place on Sunday the 3rd of May at 436D Holland Road, Newstead.
We are happy to inform all our devotees that Mr Russell Shipman (former Venerable Tenzin Chosang) has kindly accepted to conduct this Friday evening meditation session at our Hamilton temple.
"As an experiment to see if regular live-streams are viable, the basic Buddhism classes that used to be led by Tenzin on Tuesday nights will start live-streaming on Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVN0PaF4dVbkY_667DElbpw/ from 6:30pm on Tuesday 21 April.

The katina Robe offering ceremony this year, Kathina Puja – 2019, was a great noble event and for that we would like to thank everyone who gave of their time, effort and resources. Without all of you who sponsored, contributed and attended, the ceremony would not have been possible and the monks' spiritual journey would be much poorer.
